Tanya Madison, South Alabama’s BIG VOICE may come in a small package but don’t let that fool you. Tanya Madison is a sure fire powerhouse vocalist and performer whose presence owns the stage. She is the combination package of liveliness, spirit, and passion. When Tanya walks out to perform she has a way of captivating her audience and making people feel like they are a part of her life and she is a part of theirs.
Tanya Madison started singing in church at an early age. It was around the age of 12 that she found out music would forever be a part of her life. Tanya states, “I feel so honored to be a part of music. It’s amazing how it chooses you and then won’t let you go. It gives me a way to express myself and allows me to share who I am by the things I have been through. More than that, it’s a way to connect with people, and I believe that’s the greatest part of it all.”
Tanya Madison has been singing in the public eye since she was nine years old. Since then, she has always been told she is not just a talented singer but has a special gift. Tanya is highly encouraged by those words and feels that is the best compliment she has received. Over the years while growing in music, she has realized, with every gift comes great responsibility and challenges.“One day when I am held accountable for the gift I have been given, I want to know that I used it in a way that made a difference in the world. At this point in my life, I want the songs I sing to have meaning and purpose. I want to be a positive inspiration to those around me. Beneath every face beats the heart of a dreamer. I want to inspire those dreams and hopes in people through music.”
Tanya will continue to stay committed to her goal and purpose. As a singer, Tanya feels that the audience, the fans, and the lives that she has had the pleasure to be a part of through music are the reason she sings. Tanya also looks forward to the many lives she hopes to touch in the future.
